Technical Analysis
The vulnerability resides in the get_para_from_uri function within /cgi-bin/mbox-config, where improper validation of width/height URI parameters triggers a stack buffer overflow. Attackers can craft malicious HTTP requests to exploit this flaw, achieving unauthenticated remote code execution without requiring user interaction or credentials. The embedded CGI handler's lack of input sanitization makes this exploit highly reliable and easy to deploy.
